physical appearance
The contrivodrone /kənˈtɹivoʊˌdrəʊn/ is a two-dimensional stranger that resembles a crude drawing. Its dimensions range between five and three feet at the widest and tallest points, and its exact coloration and appearance varies between individuals. In odor, it is chalky.
above: known contrivodrone hues, shades, and tints.
Exposure to wind and rain causes the contrivodrone to fade in color, and for its edges to grow less discernible. A lack of exposure to the elements, however, allows it to maintain visual fidelity, with contrivodrone in the most ideal conditions appearing almost tile-like in the opacity and reflectivity of their colorations. This fidelity may be slowly regenerated over time, with sharpness and hues reestablishing themselves even in the most "washed out" of contrivodrone over a period of months in an optimum climate.
The contrivodrone's voice is grinding and inorganic, but, at less than half of one decibel in volume, tends to be drowned out by environmental audio. Only 8% of contrivodrone express a tendency to vocalize, with these individuals speaking intermittently, at best.

environment and generation
The contrivodrone appears on any surface of over twenty square feet, and is always more likely to appear on a surface kept out-of-sight of human eyes. It prefers dull bricks, broken windows, narrow hallways, and the uppermost rooms in tall but antiquated buildings, but can appear in any environment of a non-residential inflection of form. Upon these expanses, it traces itself into view and becomes filled in.
Anomalies of form, such as additional limbs, present not uncommonly, but tend to correct themselves during the formative process, persisting in only 0.07% of individuals.
behaviour and effects
The contrivodrone has no notable behaviours.
interactions with sensitives
The contrivodrone's primary effect creates the disorienting visual illusion that left is right, up is down, far is near, and near is far. This effect arrives, persists, and fades over 32 minutes, regardless of proximity or orientation to the contrivodrone.
The contrivodrone is killed by proximity to imitations of itself. Defensively, it strongly compels sensitives to erase any imagery that fits this category, including representations drawn by the sensitives themselves (provided more than one week has elapsed since the imitation's creation). Anomalous individuals (such as those possessing extra limbs or heads) are vulnerable only to imitative possessing such anomalies.
This effect also causes sensitives to feel compelled to erase the contrivodrone itself, however. The contrivodrone softens and becomes smudged when touched. Being exceptionally physically vulnerable, it is destroyed with ease.
aging and death
The contrivodrone, at the end of its life, is smudged out as automatically as it initially appears, and leaves no marksѺ behind.
Ѻ I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it, I made it, I erased it! And then, I kept going.
