North Mural is host to a wide range of sensitives, psychics, and other non-standards. Though their full narratives are left to the reader's imagination, their presence fills out the world and narrative's social setting.
...is Elaine Linen, who likes daytime television, aerobics, knitting sweaters for unusual pets, and looking at strangers (from a distance). She is aware that other sensitives see her as a bit of a "kook" for her belief in aliens, and she doesn't care! That abduction happened.
...is Heaven Zireah, former Nolympian athlete, avant-garde yoga instructor, and Jupiter Zireah's fraternal twin. She likes sprinkling cayenne pepper into her coffee, having space to move, and wants to design the world's tallest jungle gym.
...is Sharade Fassadi, a Red Hell-aligned psychic, internet "dance girl", and occasional adult performer, who finds the strangers "grody". Her hobbies include watching makeup tutorials, the internet, and Valentine's Day. Every single object she owns is red or pink.
...is
Chaiden Fossi, who loves novelty boxers, trucks, and ads that feature girls in bikinis. An undisclosed dissembler, he preys upon women in the community by either utilizing the strangers' effects, or placing himself in positions to "save" his victims from danger.
...is Tamera Tabbes, who has a cat allergy. She is a librarian who likes the idea of tea, records and shares audiobook versions of novel-length fanfiction, and has many pet strangers, all of which wear sweaters. Her favorite colors are light grey, dark grey, and slate.
...is Cassie Bird, a career cheerleader and athletic coach, and head of the West Rongovia chapter of Bliss City Rescue. She loves french fries, her distinctive speech impediment, and rehabilitating parrots who know "problematic words".
...is Shaniya Elmsa, a social worker, jigsaw puzzle enthusiast, and active organizer for political protests. Her dream is to open a soup kitchen where all the food comes from community gardens, and the meals are brought to the tables by rescued pit bulls.
...is
Icarus Bosch, post-doctoral researcher of classical literature. Though he possesses esoteric knowledge of the role of strangers in history, it was his completion of the "covered mother"
ritual that earned him a place in the secretive "Limerick Cult".
...is Mae Szyszyszki, a delivery truck driver for Faraday Laboratories, who leads a closeted double life and finds a "safe space" with the sensitive community. She is active in the Carrie Sands fanclub, collects bakelite antiques, and does not listen to music with guitars.
...is Sophia Cure, a well-known socialite and editor for a number of academic journals. Her interest in strangers is mainly religious, though she is unsure whether they should be classified as demons, or angels. She has never worn jeans, or a dress shorter than knee-length.
...is Jezebel Sinclair, elementary school administrator with a sordid past. She doesn't seem like she wants to be a sensitive, and hates pink highlighters, restaurants that put mayonnaise in her food without telling her, birthdays, non-carrot cupcakes, and children.
...is Jimmy Fremont, an adult video producer whose apartment acts as an occasional safehouse for illegal goods. He has a sarcastic sense of humor, is convinced that strangers are advanced machines, and orders a pizza from Sharkey's bar five nights a week.
...is Rufel Luceny, a businessman and owner of the Aqua Firma, a nightclub. He likes to show off by lifting heavy objects in front of people, thinks people who don't like his cigar smoke are "baby-heads", and is always saving up cash for his next ocean fishing trip.
...is Marshal Lanzo, a self-described "dark ninja" and member of Bliss City Rescue, who also does tech support for a North Mural pet clinic. He exclusively listens to J-Pop, K-Pop, and Z-pop, and all of his weapons were purchased from either the mall, or a state fair.
...is Babie Gold, a West Coast-based casting agent and production assistant who makes the occasional trip to North Mural to indulge in the nightlife scene. She loves animal print fabric, dating men with convertables, and owning a small dog whose fur color matches her hair.
...is Rexy Sardo, an electronic artist who uses recorded stranger sounds to create "non-standard" music. She does not smile, and refuses to watch DVDs. Her dream is to score the next film in the One Billion Poodles franchise, and secretly include the "beige note".
...is Yaschel Saino, a hit man and recreational serial killer, who uses the strangers to both practice his techniques, and hide the mutilated bodies of his victims. He collects Swiss army knives, buys mustard every time it goes on sale, and once made and ate a seagull egg omelet.
...is
Sandra Lang, a newcomer to the sensitive scene, who is determined to figure out the truth behind the strangers phenomenon. She likes marathoning Gizmey movies, making playlists based on her favorite fictional characters, and looking up drawings of dragons online.
...is Gabby Spectacular, an educational research graduate student at NMSU, and advocate for "life enhancements", which includes the holistic and therapeutic use of beneficial strangers. She can also blow a soap bubble big enough to stand inside.
...is Jupiter Zireah, philanthropist, architect, and Heaven Zireah's fraternal twin. When he was thirteen years old, he beat the world record for most origami cranes folded in a twenty-four hour span, which he regards as the worst day of his life.
...is Zebra Leezer, an independent musician, promoter, and model in the North Mural streetwear scene. He claims to have once been an artistic savant, until his skills were extinguished by an unspecified stranger, though the key details vary wildly between retellings.
...is Trancel Mazey, a psychic whose dual alignment gives him equal connections to both Red and Blue Hell. He's known for his 3D glasses (which he takes off only to sleep and shower), exhaustively color-themed apartment, and for being "kind of a dick".
